Job summary

Viatris is seeking an Operator, Packaging for a 3rd shift in St. Albans, VT. The role involves visually inspecting products, assisting with production equipment setup, and maintaining clean manufacturing areas.

You will label, store, and document runs, and help train new staff under supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma and at least two years of experience; strong mechanics, communication, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• HS diploma required.
• Minimum two years of experience; combination of experience and/or education may be considered.
• Must possess strong mechanical, communication, time management, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills; able to lift up to 50 pounds, wear a respirator, and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the product during operation and observe equipment for proper operation; seek maintenance assistance and suggest improvements.
• Assist with setup and running of production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing areas and equipment for inspections; keep the workspace clean and orderly.
• Ensure products are labeled and stored correctly.
• Document material runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in manufacturing operations as directed by supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc., as instructed.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and back up Senior Operator as directed.
