Job description

Description
  • Understand and follow Food Safety policies.
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedules and in other departments including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to read and understand recipes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot process-related issues within the boundaries of the recipe.
  • Ability to use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions.
  • Ability to mix doughs according to recipe, with a working knowledge of the mixer, using the time and batch recipe system.
  • Follow FIFO (First in First Out), record lot numbers accurately, and document properly.
  • Clean & refilling ingredient bins, labeling with correct lot numbers.
  • Work in a standing position for entire shift, climb steps and ladders.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Monitor and assist with upstream/downstream equipment to ensure continuous operation.
  • Clean mixers and work areas during and after production runs or changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all plant safety, GMP, and allergen procedures, attending required training.
  • Ensure safe and quality food production by adhering to GMP, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, and SQF standards.
  • Report all food safety and quality issues immediately to your supervisor.
  • Support the shift team and follow supervisor directives.
Requirements

Experience with operating and maintaining machines on a production line to ensure efficiency.

Preferred Skills

Effective communication with team and management, understanding of FDA guidelines, strong mathematical skills.
