Packaging Operator - 2nd Shift Opportunity 15% Premium

Position Details

One position available on the 2nd shift, from 2:48 PM to 11:18 PM, with a 15% shift premium.

Summary

Prepare finished products for packaging and shipment, including building crates, inspection, weighing, labeling, and documenting. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to the group leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Construct crates and/or boxes to properly and securely hold products for shipment.
  2. Weigh and label packages as required.
  3. Inspect packages to ensure they meet shipping regulations.
  4. Monitor and inspect finished products throughout the packaging/crating process.
  5. Read and compare packaging & paint requirements to print/specs.
  6. Visually inspect parts during packaging/crating and take necessary actions to correct imperfections.
  7. Perform testing and complete documentation as required by customers.
  8. Monitor and communicate inventory concerns.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school Diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to understand routing information.
  • Basic inventory management knowledge.

  • Operate saws and hand tools.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged standing and sitting at a desk or on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
