Job summary

Medix in New Jersey seeks a Packaging Operator to operate automated and manual packaging equipment for nasal products, ensuring correct labeling and packaging integrity. You will set up, adjust, and troubleshoot for different product runs while monitoring production to maximize efficiency.

The role requires adherence to GMP and regulatory requirements, completion of batch and training records, and routine quality checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 3 years’ experience operating production machinery or packaging equipment; 6–12 months preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated/manual assembly, blister pack and labeling machines to pack out nasal products, ensuring correct product placement, labeling, and packaging integrity.
• Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot packaging equipment for different product runs.
• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure packaging integrity and labeling accuracy.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
• Use company computer systems to monitor and record production cycles, output, and any quality issues.
• Communicate regularly with production coworkers and supervisors to address performance issues and ensure smooth workflow.
• Inspect and remove defective products or packaging materials to maintain product quality.
• In nasal product environments, follow gowning procedures, cleanroom protocols, and sanitation standards.
• Complete batch records, training records, and other required documentation as part of quality systems.
