Job summary

Responsibilities

• Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with SMP and SOP, including equipment setup, equipment clean-up and documentation.
• Filling, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision.
• Maintain accuracy in weighing materials per SMP and SOP tolerances.
• Communicate status of product or process within the manufacturing team between shifts, orally or in written reports.
• Move materials from storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment.
• Set up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, filling equipment, IFL, bagging and shrink-wrap equipment.
• Maintain accurate production records (logs, batch history, label reconciliation, work orders).
• Identify need for minor equipment repairs and follow GMP procedures.
• Follow BD housekeeping and safety policies and work overtime as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for packaging materials in accordance with standard manufacturing procedures (SMP) and standard operating procedures (SOP) including equipment set-up, equipment clean-up and documentation of such process


• Filling, assembling, labeling and inspecting under general supervision


• May be responsible for maintaining accuracy in weighing materials per the correct SMP and SOP weight tolerances


• Must be a good communicator within the manufacturing team to effectively define status of product or process between shifts either orally or with the use of written status reports


• May be responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment


• Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL), bagging equipment and shrink-wrap equipment


• Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data


• Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs


• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)


• Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures


• Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures


• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements


• Performs other duties as required

Minimum Requirement

• High School Diploma or GED
