Job summary

Saputo Inc. is seeking team members for general assembly and packaging of cheese products in the United States. You will manually apply cheese and ingredients to production lines, package products, restock materials, and monitor flow while upholding quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or a short related experience). Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, maintain sanitation, and follow safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping practices.
• Comply with all quality system and regulatory requirements.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Requires regular attendance.
• Ability to manipulate, lift and position heavy equipment
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel and crawl, occasionally climb steps and safety ladders, continuous walking and standing
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

• Manually apply cheese and ingredients to the appropriate production line.
• Perform manual packaging tasks such as bagging/wrapping/labeling/boxing/palletizing.
• Restock packaging materials into machines such as boxes/tape/glue/film.
• Monitor production flow, remove bad product as needed and potentially reapply it to the line.
• Ensure documentation performed is in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure product quality through multiple inspections/tests and documentation of those activities.
• Set up, adjust, monitor and perform general operating maintenance on production equipment.
• Report noncompliance of production issues to the leadership teams.
• Validate ingredients and material used in the production process.
• Ensure paperwork and inventory systems transactions are accurately completed and performed in a timely manner.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals and perform sanitation duties.
• Other duties as assigned
