Job summary

ALPHA Softgels in Ontario, CA is seeking a Packaging Operator for regular full-time hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, with overtime possible. The role involves setting up and monitoring packaging lines, receiving materials, and maintaining a clean, compliant manufacturing environment in a cGMP setting.

Requires a high school diploma, 0-1 year in a manufacturing or packaging environment, English fluency, basic math, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, nutraceuticals/pharmaceuticals processing in a cGMP environment preferred.
  • 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing or packaging environment in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Experience with Packaging Equipment (Shrink Bander, Labeler, Cartoner, Case Sealer).
  • English fluency in speaking and writing.
  • Basic math skills with metric proficiency.
  • Accurate documentation skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Team orientation and independent, good judgment.
  • Ability to lift and handle up to 50 lbs.
  • Manufacturing environment adherence to gowning, safety and cGMP.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and monitor packaging lines.
  • Receive product and material in preparation for packaging operations.
  • Clean and maintain the workplace to meet cGMP standards.
  • Perform real-time accurate documentation during production runs.
  • Maintain records/logs according to standard procedures.
  • Inspect finished goods and labeling.
  • Complete required technical training profiles.
  • Adhere to safety rules and cGMP compliance.
  • Safely use heavy equipment such as pallet jacks and other devices.
  • Follow company policies and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Location: Ontario, California
Type: Regular Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (Overtime may be required)
Compensation: $18.00–$19.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up and monitor packaging lines.
  • Receive product and material in preparation for the Packaging Operations.
  • Clean and maintain the workplace. Detailed cleaning of equipment/facilities so that it meets the standards of a cGMP environment.
  • Perform real-time accurate documentation during the production run.
  • Maintain records/logs neatly and accurately and in accordance with current standard procedures.
  • Inspect finished goods and labeling.
  • Complete technical training profile as required.
  • Strict adherence to department safety rules and cGMP compliance.
  • Must be able to safely use heavy equipment, such as pallet jacks and other non-vehicle warehouse devices.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and operate in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Manufacturing, or experience in nutraceuticals/pharmaceuticals processing in a cGMP environment is preferred.
  • 0-1 year experience in a preferred manufacturing or packaging environment in an FDA regulated environment.
  • Working experience of Packaging Equipment, i.e. Shrink Bander, Labeler, Cartoner, and Case Sealer.
  • English Fluency both verbal and written.
  • Basic math skills with proficiency in metric system.
  • Accurate documentation skills are a must.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must be available to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment is essential.
  • Self-Starter with the availability to work independently and use good judgement.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
  • Must be proactive, results oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and handle material of 50 lbs.
  • All work is performed in a manufacturing environment and must adhere to department gowning protocols.
  • Job requires bending or ability to stand for extended periods- up to four (4) hours at a time.
