Job summary

Ingredion Incorporated in North Kansas City is seeking a Packaging Operator to operate industrial equipment, sample and test products, and prepare materials for shipment. You will manage packaging operations, maintain inventory, and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

This full-time position follows a 7-day rotation with weekend shifts, and starting wages of $24.04 per hour plus shift differentials, increasing at 6, 12, and 18 months to $29.43.

Qualifications

• Must pass testing on Math, Reading, and Mechanical Aptitude.
• Must pass a background check (education, work history, and criminal record).
• Must complete a physical and drug screen.
• We work a 7-day rotation and every 3 weeks employees will have a three-day weekend (Saturday, Sunday, and Monday).

Responsibilities

• Operating mechanical equipment, i.e.: palletizers, conveyors and forklifts.
• Sampling and testing products.
• Loading railcars and bags with food grade specifications.
• Facilitating and inspecting finished product ready for the customer.
• Packing 50-pound bags, railcars, and bulk bagging starch.
• Maintaining inventory.
• Preparing railcars and trucks.
• Data entry and documentation of downtime, production, and mechanical issues.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Coordinating with other departments to maximize productivity.
• Maintain a clean, food grade workspace.

OPEN SHIFTS: Second, Swing

STARTING WAGE: $ 24.04 per hour + Shift Differentials. Wage Increases at 6 months ($24.80), 12 months ($26.08), and 18 months ($29.43).

This pay rate is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
