Responsibilities

• Spot outbound trucks into docks and ensure dock-locks are secure.
• Reclaim off-quality material and feed back to the process line.
• Package goods by placing bags on bagger equipment with proper alignment.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping in designated areas.
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
• Support plant staff with special tasks and safety programs.
• Participate in safety and housekeeping programs in the plant.

Job description

The Packaging Operator I role is the entry level role at the Mt. Vernon facility. This role is responsible for packaging, cleaning, and relieving for breaks. This role will primarily work in the production area.

Reports to: Plant Leader

Job Responsibilities

• Spotting out-bound trucks into material load docks, ensuring dock-locks
• Reclaiming off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and refeeding the material to the forehearth
• Packaging operator placing bags on bagger equipment snouts ensuring proper packaging of finished goods material
• Performs general cleanup duties in designated areas (including, but not limited to, sweeping floor, blowing down the line/robot, cleaning break rooms, etc.)
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes
• Perform special needs as determined by plant staff
• Participates in safety and housekeeping programs as established within the plant

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must show proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be 18 years or older

Preferred Experience

• 1 – 3 years manufacturing experience
