Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a reliable Packaging Operator in Grafton, ND. The role supports seed packaging with accurate labeling and quality control, reporting to the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager.

The position is seasonal, with a 7am - 3:30pm schedule, Mon-Fri, at $20 per hour. Prior forklift experience is a plus; English literacy and a safety-minded approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced production environment.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform all assigned work activities following company policies.
• Apply correct tags and labels to seed packages based on instructions.
• Accurately count and report seed inventory.
• Lift, move and stack materials up to 65 lbs.
• Stand for extended periods while filling and closing products.
• Operate a forklift (certification provided if needed).
• Climb stairs and ladders to monitor equipment.
• Clean equipment to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.
• Support Quality Management System implementation and maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, hazard-free work area.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientedPackaging Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will work closely with the Packaging Supervisor and Plant Operations Manager to ensure all seed packaging meets customer specifications with accurate labeling and high-quality standards. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, safety, and efficiency within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely perform all assigned work activities in accordance with company policies

• Apply correct tags and/or labels to seed packages based on customer instructions

• Accurately count and report inventory of bagged seed

• Lift, move, and stack materials weighing up to 65 lbs

• Stand for extended periods while filling and closing packaged products

• Safely operate a forklift (certification required; training provided)

• Climb stairs and ladders as needed to monitor and adjust equipment

• Clean equipment thoroughly to maintain cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination

• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area

Qualifications & Skills:

• Agricultural background preferred

• Basic computer skills required; advanced proficiency a plus

• Familiarity with seed production or related processes is beneficial

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated

• Ability to stay organized and manage time effectively
