CJ Bio America - Fort Dodge is seeking a Refinery Operator for Threonine Packaging to operate equipment, ensure accurate packaging, and maintain product integrity on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities include inspecting sealed bags, performing routine calibrations, addressing equipment issues, maintaining clean work areas, recording pallet counts, and assisting with QC checks. A high school diploma or GED is required; production/maintenance experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment to package dry granulated Threonine while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and product integrity meet or exceed company standards
• Inspect packaged product to verify conformance to specifications (bags sealed, weights within range, printing correct)
• Perform scale calibration, magnetic separator and metal detection verification checks
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report service requests
• Maintain a clean work area
• Confirm paperwork (pallets, rejects) is completed correctly
• Collect samples as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

Operate equipment to package dry granulated Threonine while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and product integrity meet or exceed company standards. This position works 12-hour rotating shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating, which includes days, weekends, holidays and overtime.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate equipment to package dry granulated Threonine while ensuring accuracy, efficiency and product integrity meet or exceed company standards
• Inspects packaged product to verify conformance to specifications, i.e. ensure bags are sealed correctly, weights are within range and printing is correct.
• Perform scale calibration, magnetic separator and metal detection verification checks and report any abnormal findings to management
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and communicate service requests to the maintenance department as necessary
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Confirm all paperwork (number of pallets, rejects, etc.) is correctly completed.
• Collect samples as required
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• This position works 12-hour rotating shifts (36 / 48 hours per week alternating, which includes days, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• This position works in a manufacturing environment, which includes exposures to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, vibrations, varying atmospheric conditions and temperatures, hazardous chemicals, high pressure steam, dust
• This position regularly requires standing, walking extended distances, ascending/descending stairs extended distances, lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, ascending/descending ladders. The position regularly requires reaching with hands and arms; climbing or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, close/distance vision

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma / GED
• Production and/or maintenance experience is preferred
