The Packaging Operator supports the Converting Production by operating paper converting equipment to meet the production goal established for the line in a safe manner. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with company safety policies and that all products manufactured meet customer specifications.
Schedule: Modified DuPont schedule (12-hour day and night shifts, rotating weekends, and periodic transitions between days and nights). Candidates should carefully consider the schedule before applying.
Pay: Starts at $25.11 an hour with opportunity to increase in pay as on‑job certifications are completed.
Ability to stand, walk, sit, and handle items ranging from 10 to over 100 lbs. as required by the job. Activities include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, crawling, squatting or kneeling, bending, and reaching. Physical tasks are performed often or frequently depending on job demands.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, including safety shoes, eye and ear protection, reflective vests, hairnets or hats, and other necessary protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can vary seasonally. Employees are exposed to significant paper dust and noise levels requiring hearing protection.
