Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Label, inspect, and package finished container products using manual and automated systems.

• Maintain accurate production documentation (logs, batch records, work orders).

Job description

A-Line Staffing is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Packaging Operator (Manufacturing). This role offers career growth, a supportive work environment, and full-time hours (40+ per week).

Details and Compensation

• Location: Cockeysville, MD 21031 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $17.30/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (overtime as needed)

Summary and Highlights

The Packaging Operator supports manufacturing operations by labeling, inspecting, and packaging finished products using manual and/or automated packaging systems. This role performs basic equipment operation, changeovers, and documentation while ensuring production records are accurate and complete. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing environment.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs.

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.

Responsibilities

• Label, inspect, and package finished container products using manual and automated systems
• Operate packaging equipment (filling/boxing/bagging/shrink-wrap/labeling as assigned) and support set-up/changeover activities
• Perform data entry and generate/imprint computer-produced labels; verify label accuracy and reconciliation
• Maintain accurate production documentation (logs, batch records, work order information, cleaning records)
• Identify basic equipment issues and communicate needs for minor repairs or support
• Follow established procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety requirements
• Communicate effectively between shifts regarding product/process status and priority needs
• Move materials to/from staging and work areas as needed (material handling equipment may be used as required)

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 1+ year of manufacturing or warehouse experience required (regulated environment experience preferred)
• Basic computer skills (Windows environment) and ability to maintain accurate electronic/manual logs
• Ability to read/write in English and perform basic arithmetic
• Comfort working in a repetitive environment and standing for long periods of time
• Ability to manage frequent task changes and follow standard procedures closely
• Forklift license required
