Job summary

Open Scientific is seeking experienced Packaging Mechanics to join our manufacturing team. This direct hire role starts at $20-28 an hour, with 1st and 2nd shifts available. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, results driven, and team oriented.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and basic to advanced knowledge of electrical circuits and PLCs. Safety rules and cGMPs must be followed; manufacturing experience 3-5 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates are detailed oriented, results driven, and team oriented.
• Experience working in and around mechanical equipment, preferably in a food/pharmaceutical/environment.
• Knowledge in tableting, compounding, and/or blending a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, assesses and repairs most manufacturing/facilities issues in a timely manner without supervision
• Interprets blueprints and schematics
• Basic to advance knowledge of electrical circuits and PLCs
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
• Ability to build and rebuild certain components for machines (i.e. bearings, pumps, etc.)
