Job summary

Polytex Fibers in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design, modification and reliability of manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance to improve efficiency, implement upgrades and ensure lines run safely and smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, 3–5 years of industry experience, proficiency with CAD software (preferably SolidWorks), and strong communication and teamwork skills to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics engineering or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within manufacturing, packaging or a similar industry.
Proficiency in CAD software preferably SolidWorks.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Design and modify equipment.
Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new or modified machinery using CAD software, generating 3D models and prototypes and assisting with testing and validation.
Process and Safety improvement.
Work closely with cross-departmental teams, including Production and Maintenance, to ensure timely and effective project completion.
