Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Packaging Machine Technician I in Greenville, SC to set up, tune, repair, and maintain packaging machinery on the production lines. The role includes documenting downtime, changeovers, and data entry for batch records.

Qualifications include an associate degree or extensive maintenance experience, 2-3 years in industrial maintenance, and familiarity with PLS applications. 3rd shift hours are 10:30pm to 7:00am.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in maintenance-related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a HS Diploma/GED.
• 2-3 years' experience in industrial or electrical maintenance, preferably in packaging.
• PLS applications knowledge is preferred.
• Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and communication skills.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, maintain and clean packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct equipment issues.
• Assist Packaging Operators and participate in improvement projects.
• Perform bottle size changeovers and document changeover activities.
• Order replacement parts and train Packaging Machine Specialists.
• Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:30pm-07:00am.

The purpose of the Packaging Machine Technician I position is to set-up, changeover, make mechanical adjustments and repairs to packaging machinery and/or equipment in the Packaging Department.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

• Set-up, Operate, Maintain and Clean equipment on the Packaging production lines.
• Troubleshoot, adjust and correct equipment issues/failures.
• Assist Packaging Assemblers, support/participate in improvement projects.
• Perform Bottle Size Changeovers, initiate work orders, complete work order task.
• Documenting changeover activities.
• Administrative responsibilities to include Data entry, recording downtime, batch record information, communication updates about daily events.
• Order replacement parts.
• Train Packaging Machine Specialist.

Qualifications/Training:

Education:

Associates Degree in maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a High School Diploma/GED required.

Experience:

2-3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or electrical maintenance, preferably in a Packaging operation. PLS applications knowledge and ability desired.

Skills:

Machinery, ability to work within a team-oriented environment, basic computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent troubleshooting ability, working knowledge of tools, knowledge of packaging process.

Shift: 3rd Shift | Monday-Friday | 10:30pm-07:00am
