Job Description

As a Packaging Machine Operator at Lactalis US Yogurt, you will set-up, operate, and maintain machinery in a manufacturing setting. Your responsibilities include ensuring the machine produces high-quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.

Salary

$16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Operate filling/packaging equipment, adhering to quality assurance, productivity, OSHA, and safety standards.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment for cleaning and sanitizing, following manufacturer instructions.
• Monitor and control product flow through the machine.
• Perform testing procedures and provide samples to the laboratory before product storage.
• Maintain food safety and quality by keeping the work area sanitary and following hygiene regulations.
• Wear appropriate food safety and sanitation clothing.
• Report food safety issues to authorized personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all programs and maintain current documentation.
• Stand, use hands, and reach as required during work shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating filling machines preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
