Machine Operator | Details and Compensation:

• Location: Sparks Glencoe MD 21152 – 100% on-site
• Payrate: $20.43/hr
• Required Availability: 3rd Shift | Monday–Friday | 10:15 PM – 6:15 AM + mandatory OT when needed

Machine Operator | Summary and Highlights:

The Packaging Machine Operator is a hands-on role is ideal for experienced machine operators ready to bring their skills to a critical packaging environment. This is a full PPE-required position, including respirator use—no exceptions. Candidates must be clean-shaven to meet OSHA requirements for respirator use.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Machine Operator | Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain packaging and filling machinery (including SpeeDee and All-Fills equipment).
• Assemble and disassemble machines for cleaning per SOP and GMP standards.
• Handle product packaging into end-user containers according to manufacturing protocols.
• Monitor production processes, including critical parameters like temperature, humidity, and RPMs.
• Accurately document all activities using Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Ensure final product meets all weight and quality specifications.
• Perform material handling tasks with both manual and motorized equipment.
• Adhere strictly to safety standards, including respirator and PPE use.
• Candidates must be clean-shaven to meet OSHA requirements for respirator use.

Machine Operator | Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, packaging, or warehouse operations required.
• Experience operating machinery in a dusty or industrial environment.
• Previous forklift experience
• Comfortable with repetitive heavy lifting: 70% of the shift: 1–5 lbs | 30% of the shift: up to 35 lbs
• Must pass forklift physical exam and respirator fit test.
• Must be clean-shaven to meet OSHA requirements for respirator use.
• Willingness to work in a dusty environment with consistent PPE use including respirators, steel-toe shoes, and safety glasses.
