Turner Industries is seeking a Packaging Line Worker to operate packing equipment in St. Gabriel, LA. This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and follows detailed procedures with frequent checks to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include handling fillers, scanning barcodes, staging materials, labeling outputs, and performing quality checks. The job requires standing long hours, safety compliance, and potential overtime.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• TWIC card validation required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Site-specific training may be required.
• Basic knowledge of conveyor hazards where applicable.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and policy acknowledgment.

• Operate powder and liquid filler equipment safely and efficiently.
• Secure IBCs and bulk bags per tying/torque instructions.
• Follow barcode scanning procedures with handheld scanner.
• Stage materials in warehouse (forklift at times).

• Maintain clean work area and perform routine housekeeping.

We are seeking a Packaging Line Worker for a position in St. Gabriel, LA. Packaging Technicians are responsible for operating plant packing equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

• Day/Night 12-hour shift rotation: 3 days on/2 days off – 3 nights on/3 days off rotating schedule
• Regular schedule is every other weekend off
• Occasional overtime required

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• Valid TWIC card
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• May require site specific training and qualification
• Basic knowledge of conveyor system hazards, if applicable
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the company Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Operate powder and liquid filler equipment in a safe and efficient manner, Secure IBC's and bulk bags by following recommended tying and torque instructions, Operate handheld scanner to scan barcode, Operate forklift to stage material in warehouse (preferred but not required), Apply required labels on finished goods, Operate palletizer and stretch wrap machine, Place jugs on conveyors, Operate case (box) maker, Keep work area clean by performing routine housekeeping duties, Perform quality checks on packaging material and finished goods, Must have ability to stand between 8-10 hours during the duration of the shift, Must be able to wear a dust mask for up to 8 hours during the duration of the shift, Assumes responsibility for assisting in meeting plant production requirements as set by client/owner, Observant of operating process equipment and maintenance needs, Communicates with supervisor as necessary to ensure maximum performances as outlined by production goals, Digging, spreading, scraping, packaging and water blasting, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
