Job Title: Packaging Line Worker

Job Description

As a Packaging Line Worker, you will be responsible for hand packing bottles of products and pushing boxes through a taping machine. You will need to consistently lift 20 lbs throughout your shift and ensure that empty bottles are correctly dumped into the hopper at the front of the line.

Responsibilities

• Hand pack bottles of product with care and precision.
• Push boxes through a taping machine efficiently.
• Consistently lift 20 lbs throughout the shift.
• Dump empty bottles into the hopper at the front of the line.
• Communicate with team via walkie-talkie to request more products when needed.
• Utilize technology to identify pick areas to work on.
• Communicate with the warehouse once the line is finished.
• Carefully handle products to ensure quality standards are met.

Work Environment

The work environment is a manufacturing plant, where you will be working around moving mechanical parts and exposed to airborne particles, particularly spices. There is a strong spice smell upon entering the facility, which employees typically acclimate to after about a week.

We have opportunities open on both first shift, from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and second shift, from 3:15 pm to 2:00 am.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ankeny, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
