Job summary

Quantix SCS is seeking a Packaging Operator to safely run packaging equipment and uphold product integrity. The role focuses on contamination prevention, standardized processes, and meeting customer requirements on the assigned pack-out line.

Based in Houston, TX, the position requires teamwork, adherence to GPPs, and ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. Applicants should have warehouse and operations exposure and a proactive approach to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of Warehouse experience.
• 6–12 months of Operations experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays as required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and adapt to last-minute schedule changes.
• Flexibility to work with different crews as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain safe packaging, material handling, and visual inspection processes within EHS and Quality policy guidelines.
• Adhere to Good Packaging Practices (GPPs) to maintain product integrity.
• Perform complete blowdowns in accordance with customer quality standards.
• Assist the Packaging Lead in setting up packaging lines.
• Set up transfer hoses to railcars while following GPPs.
• Verify and initial paperwork before starting new packaging orders.
• Review and initial test prints after approval from the Packaging Lead.
• Report any quality concerns encountered during packaging to the Packaging Lead.
• Complete assigned training in Paylocity to maintain compliance and skill development.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Assist the Packaging Lead in completing all tasks assigned by management.
