Job summary

Newly Weds Foods is seeking a packaging associate to operate the packaging line, verify ingredients, and bag finished product. The role includes rotating to other positions on the line as needed and performing paperwork in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of packaging experience, with the ability to lift up to 55 lbs and follow safety procedures. On-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School or GED with a minimum of 1 year packaging experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Must successfully complete on the job training.
• Verbal and written communication skills are important for following instructions and interacting with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines for start up and operate packaging lines.
• Verify ingredients and batch with supervisor as needed.
• Fill bags with product to required weight and maintain line standards.
• Stand and perform continuous lifting of bags/boxes up to 55 lbs.
• Assist in stacking, labeling, and loading boxes onto pallets; push/pull up to 250 lbs.
• Complete required paperwork and ensure product integrity.
• Assist with inventory counts and keep area clean and compliant with GMP and safety rules.
