Job Summary
Position: Packaging Operator – 2nd Shift (3:00PM – 11:10PM). Location: Franklin, NJ. Reports to Packaging Supervisor. Operates and maintains packaging lines while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual, semiautomatic, and automatic packaging lines and powder presses, including line set‑up, adjustment, and quality control.
- Perform light preventive maintenance and communicate required actions to keep the line running smoothly.
- Train and supervise packaging staff, observe work to ensure procedures are followed, and sign pertinent records.
- Assist other packaging employees and maintain a smooth flow of production.
- Maintain GMP sanitization, quality control, safety, housekeeping, and production control per L’Oréal operating procedures.
- Attend required training programs both in-house and off‑premises to maintain high standards.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement process improvements for quality, line efficiency, housekeeping, and other areas.
- Manage line changeovers, including sanitization of parts and establish GMPs.
- Document, supply, and move incoming components and finished product to and from the packaging lines and staging area.
- Handle all production and inventory controls, including scheduling, inventory recording, and close‑out transactions.
- Perform housekeeping tasks and report any irregularities to supervision.
- Execute any other packaging related duties as directed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in production or processing, with knowledge of specific machinery and product items.
- Knowledge and experience with specific production/processing areas, machinery, and product items.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
- Capacity to work off‑shifts, including overtime.
- High school education or GED equivalency preferred.
- Effective communication in written and verbal English.
- Proficiency in using all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Capability to work with all products, including current and promotional items.
- Collaborative team player able to work within a team environment.

- Base hourly pay range: $19.81 – $27.26 (dependent on shift differential, location, experience, education, and skill level).
