Job summary

InvaGen Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Packaging Line Leader for the 2nd shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm) in Hauppauge/ Central Islip, NY. The role leads packaging operators, ensures GMP compliance, and coordinates with the supervisor to meet daily production goals for Dry Powder Inhalation products.

The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma and at least 3 years in pharmaceutical packaging, with strong documentation and English communication skills. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Job Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is toassistin packaging manufactured Dry Powder Inhalation (DPI) products in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

  • Ensures that Packaging Operators under his/her lead renderthe highest productivity (Process Reliability).
  • Ensure that operations are completed in the most efficient manner and so that final products meet the standards of qualityrequired.
  • Coordinate with Packaging Supervisor daily for production goals for his/her packaging line. Monitor and prepare daily group productivity indicators.
  • Maintainsaccurateand complete records.
  • Maintainsconstantproduct flow in all stations of the line.
  • Monitors each operation toensurecompliance with document instructions, SOP's, GMP's, OSHA,DEAand company policies.
  • Assigns personnel to the different duties within the department, delegates tasks accordingly.
  • Checks incoming and outgoing materials to ensure that they comply withGMP's, department schedules and special instructions.
  • Assumes department supervisor's position in his absence or whenrequired.
  • Perform special duties and functions as required bythe departmentsupervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education Qualifications
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred minimum three (3) years of direct work experience in pharmaceutical packaging.
  • Mustpossessstrong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate in English (verbal and written).
Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the ability to perform physicaltasksincluding frequent bending and lifting.
  • The role requires exerting force continuously and/or up to 5 poundsfrequently, up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds rarely, with or without theassistanceof tools such as a hand truck, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • The ability to wearappropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) isrequired.
  • Individuals maybe requiredto wear respiratory protection, which may include but is not limited to Air Purifying Respirators (APRs) (half-face or full-face negative pressure respirators), powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs), or supplied air respirators (SARs).
