Job summary

Culture Fresh Foods, Inc. in Naugatuck, CT is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator Lead to supervise and lead packaging staff, coordinate workflow, and ensure safety and quality. You will operate equipment, document production, and mentor team members.

Responsibilities include training, scheduling, and escalating issues to the Production Supervisor; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Monday–Thursday, 4PM–2:30AM; occasional flexibility required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and direct employees.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment according to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to Packaging Machine Operators, Palletizers, and temporary employees to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Organize daily work assignments and manage temporary employees to ensure efficient staffing and workflow.
• Monitor packaging and palletizing operations to ensure products are manufactured safely and in compliance with quality standards.
• Train, onboard, and mentor new employees on packaging equipment, GMPs, food safety requirements, and safe work practices.
• Escalate operational issues to the Production Supervisor when appropriate.
