Job summary

King’s Hawaiian is seeking a Packing Foreman to lead the packing line, manage staff, and ensure safe, efficient daily operations. You will champion food safety and quality programs, coordinate with the Production Supervisor, and provide on‑the‑job training for full‑time and temporary staff.

You will oversee shift scheduling, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in packaging processes, with consideration for overtime and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• 3-5 years of production manufacturing experience required.
• 1-3 years of experience managing the production lines.
• Food industry experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate orally in English.
• Ability to speak effectively in individual and group settings.
• Ability to add, subtract, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Ability to use a tablet and/or scan gun to perform quality and production tasks.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to set‑up and operate various manufacturing equipment.
• Forklift/Electric Pallet Jack Certification preferred.
• Proactive attitude with attention to detail.
• Experience in managing people and working well with others as well as ability to self‑motivate and work alone.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the packing line and staffing; ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Monitor quality specifications and adherence to SQF/food-safety standards.
• Lead shift pre-shift meetings and training; enforce PPE use.
• Maintain clean, organized area and ensure equipment runs per SOPs.
• Coordinate with supervisor and teams to address staffing needs and production priorities.
• Ensure equipment setup and operation meets operating conditions and quality checks.
• Track waste, downtime, and production data; drive continuous improvement.
• Provide coaching and feedback to packaging staff and temporary workers.
• Prepare weekly schedules and coordinate with temp agencies for staffing levels.
• Support emergency responses and safety incidents per protocol.
