Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Packaging Technician 2 to join the team in a regulated pharmaceutical packaging setting. You will work with a team to assemble, fill, label, and package pharmaceutical products in Primary, Secondary, Refrigerated, and Frozen areas.

The role requires hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to detail, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks and adhere to GMP standards. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and occasional overtime may be needed.

What Will You Do?

Packaging Technician 2 is responsible for working in a regulated packaging environment with a team of people performing manual or automated assembly, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and labeling of pharmaceutical products. Duties of the Packaging Technician 2 are performed in Primary, Secondary, Refrigerated (2 to 8° C), and Frozen (-20° C) Packaging areas.

The individual must possess computer skills, good time management, and must be able to communicate to team members and cross-functional groups (in English).

Education

• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

This position requires hand-eye coordination, dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands. This includes:

• Must have working mathematical skills for counting, adding, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
• Must be able to interpret 2D Diagrams and batch paperwork to ensure proper assembly of clinical supplies.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements stated in the Essential Job Functions with little or no exceptions or assistance.
• Must be able to work independently, or as a part of a team, in the completion of assigned tasks.
• Must be able to take initiative, follow through on commitments, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Possesses the ability to accept and learn from feedback, especially related to Corrective or Preventative Actions.
