Job summary

Globalchannelmanagement is seeking a Packaging Lab Technician with manufacturing packaging experience to support engineers, coordinate materials, testing, and documentation for new product launches.

The role requires 32 hours per week, proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and the ability to work in a custom software testing program. CAPE, Artios and CAD experience are a plus. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently and with small teams, delivering concise reports.

Responsibilities

• Supports Packaging Engineers with materials, testing, reports for new product launches.
• Lead or assist collection, setup, testing and disposal of packaging materials.
• Participate in testing of packaging components and materials.
• Coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion.
• Assist in design and development of packaging components.
• Create and maintain package testing plans.
• Support sustainability metrics development and benchmarking data collection.

Job description

Packaging Lab Technician needs lab technician or packaging area experience in a manufacturing environment

Requires:

• 32 hours weekly

• Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to work in a custom software testing program
• Experience with CAPE, Artios, and CAD is a plus, not required.
• Self-starter, able to work on their own and small teams, seeks out new work and responsibilities is important.

Concise documentation and reporting is critical in this role.

Duties:

• Supports the Packaging Engineers and coordinates materials, testing, test reports, and some administration work with regards to new product launches and product/package qualifications.
• Support the Package Engineers by leading or managing the collection, setup, testing and disposal of package materials.

• Participate and lead testing of package components and materials
• Work with suppliers, Package Engineers, Package Testing Engineers, and cross functional team members to support driving projects to completion
• Assist in the design and development of project-related packaging components
• Creation and maintenance of package testing plans *
• Assist engineers on Sustainability metrics development and product benchmarking studies – usually by gathering data on packaging in market now, or new packaging examples.
