Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company in Chicago is seeking an Entry Level position focused on managing packaging inventory and supplier coordination. You'll act as a liaison between materials management and suppliers, ensuring timely adjustments based on marketing promotions and product changes. Required qualifications include an Associate's degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Qualifications

• Comfort level with a very high volume, fast paced operation in a time sensitive environment.
• Good interpersonal & problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in Oracle preferred.
• Some travel required.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly packaging inventory levels and make adjustments based on promotions and changes.
• Act as primary contact for assigned packaging supplier(s) and manage inventory.
• Serve as liaison between materials management group and supplier regarding coverage levels.
• Coordinate with marketing for packaging availability for new launches.
• Maintain purchase orders in Oracle and review orders through Vendor Managed Inventory.
