Job summary

Morris Packaging in Minnesota is seeking a production supervisor to lead daily operations, manage a shift, ensure safety and quality, and meet production schedules. You will coach staff, monitor attendance, and coordinate line changes to maximize throughput.

Responsibilities include training new operators, troubleshooting equipment with maintenance, preparing reports, and upholding Safe Quality Food standards in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of flexible packaging and/or flexographic printing (experience).
• Ability to train employees in manufacturing processes with a high skill level.
• Ability to learn and apply processes with a high level of skill.
• Ability to learn and understand reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Set production output goals for all machines and monitor progress.
• Enforce optimal line speed and adjust personnel placement as needed.
• Communicate with incoming/outgoing shifts for smooth production.
• Assist operators to maximize throughput with minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot line issues with maintenance and quality control personnel.
• Train and supervise shift employees; conduct 90-day and yearly reviews.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned daily and required production reports are completed.
