Job summary

R.C. Bigelow, Inc. in Fairfield, CT is seeking a maintenance mechanic to conduct machine setup, troubleshoot, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment.

You will read manuals, perform hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical troubleshooting, and support production with timely downtime reduction. You must work flexible shifts, support weekend coverage as needed, and operate within GMP and safety rules. Prior packaging line mechanical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing packaging line mechanical equipment or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret manuals and work orders
• Familiarity with GMPs and safety rules

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on packaging equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance reports and logs
• Ensure equipment meets QA standards and follows safety guidelines
