Job summary

Gray AES in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Packaging Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support the packaging team on integrated projects across FEL/FEED through commissioning.

You will assist in line speed analysis, equipment layouts, and documentation, while learning from senior engineers. This role emphasizes packaging systems, ROI-driven improvements, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS in mechanical, industrial or packaging systems engineering.
• Effective written and verbal communication is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
• 2D CAD experience is a plus.
• Technical writing experience or skills are required.
• Ability to learn packaging operations and propose ROI-improving solutions.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce the project team as part of the packaging team on integrated projects.
• Support packaging systems design and integration development including line speed analysis and layouts.
• Provide input to equipment performance requirements and participate in FATs/reviews.
• Contribute to estimating and development of scope of work and small proposals.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, process flow diagrams, and project reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
