Job summary

Leoforce is seeking a Packaging Engineer / Technical Program Manager on a contract basis in Sunnyvale, CA. The role pays $60–$70 per hour and is a short-term engagement of about three months, targeting mid-level packaging and hardware experience.

You will lead external sub-supplier packaging development, coordinate internal engineering with suppliers, define requirements, track milestones, and manage risk while ensuring designs meet product and manufacturing needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of packaging engineering or related hardware experience.
• Experience developing packaging for complex hardware products.
• Strong supplier/vendor management experience.
• Ability to review and provide technical feedback on packaging designs.
• Experience managing schedules, milestones, deliverables, and technical risks.
• Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive external supplier toward deliverables.

A bit about us:

We are seeking a Packaging Engineer / Technical Program Manager to manage the development of new packaging designs in partnership with an external subsupplier.

This position will serve as the primary technical and program interface with the packaging supplier, ensuring designs meet product requirements, timelines, quality expectations, and manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of packaging engineering with the ability to manage suppliers, schedules, deliverables, and technical issues.

This is a short-term, approximately three-month assignment supporting an active hardware program.
