Job summary

Masters Gallery Foods Inc. is seeking a Packaging Engineer Intern to support the development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of packaging systems in our food manufacturing operations.

This role provides hands-on experience with packaging materials, equipment, manufacturing processes, and project management activities. You will gain exposure to packaging design validation, performance testing, data collection and analysis, and packaging trials.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Previous working experience in a Manufacturing environment or related experience is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in food manufacturing and consumer packaged goods (CPG).
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and validation of packaging materials and formats.
• Support package performance testing in a lab setting.
• Collect, analyze, and report packaging performance data.
• Support packaging trials and line testing activities.
• Support root cause investigations for packaging defects and non-conforming materials.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives by supporting packaging waste reduction projects.
• Review packaging specifications and technical drawings for accuracy and validation.
