Job summary

Lamb Weston is seeking an Associate Packaging Engineer to identify, develop and commercialize new packaging solutions. You will work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in manufacturing and distribution networks.

The role leads packaging projects from ideation to implementation, with hands-on trials and a focus on material performance and cost savings. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging or engineering required or preferred.
• 1 co-op or internship, CPg experience preferred.
• 1+ year packaging industry experience.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, testing procedures.
• Exposure to 2-D/3-D design programs preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and possess a US driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support the stage-gate process on packaging projects from ideation through commercialization.
• Lead highly complex technical packaging projects as needed.
• Develop ideas for savings, innovation, plant efficiency and quality improvements.
• Independently plan, execute, and analyze plant/pilot/lab trials.
• Develop and manage technical packaging specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
