Job summary

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA is hiring an Engineer II, Packaging to manage lifecycle processes for packaging components and optimize line performance. You will troubleshoot and improve safety, quality, and efficiency on packaging lines and collaborate across technical services and development teams to support commercialization.

The role emphasizes creating and reviewing packaging documents, defining material specifications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related field with at least two years of pharma experience.
Alternative degrees or more experience may be considered in lieu of requirements.
Knowledge of pharmaceutical production environments and packaging equipment is preferred.
Understanding of pharmaceutical packaging development and related standards.

Responsibilities

Represent Packaging Engineering Lifecycle Operations in development and commercialization collaboration.
Develop packaging material specifications for new or improved components.
Prepare line trial protocols, master data, and packaging specs to meet project timelines.
Write line trial reports to document packaging knowledge for future optimization.
Provide technical support to production, assess non-standard events, and recommend steps for issues with moderate management oversight.
Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on packaging changes and compliance.
Share best practices and ensure adherence to cGMP, FDA, DEA, OSHA guidelines.
