Ascendion is seeking a Packaging Engineer in Seattle to lead quality programs for packaging materials, emphasizing plastics, pulp, and paper. You will analyze signals, drive investigations, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver packaging improvements within tight timelines, leveraging your QA expertise and attention to regulatory detail.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in packaging and quality
• Experience developing quality programs and supplier quality systems
• Knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, ISO or BRC standards
• Background in plastics, pulp, and paper materials
• Understanding of Food Safety and Quality requirements
• Interpreting QA task protocols

Responsibilities

• Proactively analyze product and supplier quality signals, metrics, audit data, customer feedback, regulator, and workgroup input. Identify trends and lead investigation and resolution of packaging related concerns.
• Interface and influence suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver results within timelines; act as a Retail Food Packaging Product Safety and Quality system expert.
