Job summary

SCN BestCo is a leading innovator and manufacturer of OTC and dietary supplement packaging. The Packaging Engineer will drive development from concept to commercial launch, balancing protection, cost, and consumer experience across a growing portfolio.

The role partners with R&D, Operations, Quality, and suppliers to qualify new packaging technologies, maintain change control, and ensure audit-ready documentation. Travel is limited to under 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 4 years’ experience in packaging design and manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing, fulfillment, and distribution packaging environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commercial launch of key packaging projects from concept to launch.
• Translate requirements into specifications and tradeoffs.
• Stay current on packaging tech and propose improvements.
• Manage packaging specs, artwork, and BOMs under change control.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Marketing and Purchasing to assess costs and feasibility.
• Create drawings, specifications, samples, and analyses for design approvals.
• Coordinate trials and supplier changes to ensure first-time quality.
• Record all packing material specs in centralized files.
• Travel to suppliers as needed (<10%).
