ACL Digital is seeking an onsite Packaging Engineer in Thousand Oaks, CA, within the Combination Products Operations (CPO) Packaging Engineering group. You will apply engineering principles to design, validate, qualify, and implement primary and secondary packaging components and related systems, including documentation, equipment, and processes.

This position reports into the Packaging Engineering group under Combination Products Operations (CPO) in Thousand Oaks, CA. This position will play engineering principles to execute the proper design, validation, qualification and implementation of Primary and Secondary Packaging components and the associated systems such as documentation, equipment, and processes. Knowledge of primary and secondary packaging systems and material science is essential to the position. The position requires organizational, project management, technical problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills, and the ability to work in teams and adapt to rapidly changing environments. Day to day commercial support, and Lifecycle Management (LCM).
This position is responsible for and accountable for the following:
Support for testing and evaluation leading to recommendation and selection of primary and secondary packaging materials
Familiarity with Change Controls / Change Orders to support LCM, Technical Transfer, Engineering Studies or any engineering activity that needs to be documented within GMP environment.
Familiarity with Material Testing standards, is essential
Writing and executing test protocols, perform technical evaluations and testing to support reports used to justify the use of selected materials and packaging components
Writing technical specifications, creating engineering drawings, and developing artwork templates.
Competent with AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar software application to create, modify and approve engineering drawings
Support line trials and packaging validation activities prior to introduction of any new or change in primary and/or secondary packaging components or any secondary packaging processes.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams (i.e. Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing, Regulatory, etc.) in pre-commercial and commercial activities
Qualifications: Master's degree OR Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of engineering/scientific experience
