Ford Louisville Assembly Plant is the future home of the Ford Fathom™ and is transforming to support new packaging-engineering initiatives. This salaried, grade 7 role designs, procures, and deploys automotive shipping containers with a focus on cost reduction, part protection, and durability.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Ford Purchasing, reviewing quality plans, and testing containers across U.S./Canada/Mexico. Travel is required; CATIA V5 and Teamcenter experience are a plus.

Formación

• BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or Packaging Engineering.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel as needed (typically within U.S./Canada/Mexico and 1–3 day duration).

Responsabilidades

• Work with Ford Purchasing to quote, analyze bids, and place orders with fabricators and manufacturers.
• Review fabricator's quality planning to ensure it aligns with standards and expectations.
• Schedule and complete transportation testing; work with our test engineer to determine criteria and document pass/fail conditions.
• Develop and implement an action plan to correct issues identified during testing when required.
• Drive continuous improvement of container designs to increase pack density and reduce costs.
• Participate in campaign efforts to address repair and/or quality issues with containers.
• Advance packaging engineering through new technologies, methods, and ideas.
