Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design and develop packaging materials, solutions, and processes aligned with product and marketing requirements, customer needs and manufacturing capabilities. You will manage supplier packaging improvements and drive cost, quality, and standardization across packaging materials.

Responsibilities include approvals for SCR and NPL packaging, continuous design improvements, and planning total packaging costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in a technical discipline or related field.
• Knowledge in packaging design or engineering.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Good communication skills: verbal, written and presentations.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and develop packaging materials, solutions and processes to meet product and marketing requirements, customer needs and manufacturing capabilities.
• Responsible for all approvals and improvements of supplier packaging during SCR
• Responsible for all approvals and improvements of Customer packaging during NPL
• Drive continuous improvement on packaging designs (cost, quality, density, stack ability) and standardization on customer & supplier side
• Standardization of sizes & variants of all packaging materials (cardboard, totes, pallets, etc.)
• Planning and review of total cost of packaging material (budget planning)
• Key contact and support for all topics regarding packaging for plant NBT
• Entry point for packaging topics for BA, NPM PUR & SCMA
• Supplier management of packaging suppliers

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the supply chain
• Effectively communicate across a wide variety of internal and external customers – crisp, clear, continuous communication
• Systems – utilize and maintain systems (SAP, Supply On, Customer portals, etc.)
• Maintain awareness of trends and technologies at the forefront of packaging.
• Additional mechanical design work as necessary
• Maintains a safe work environment, Maintains professional attire, Continually focuses on departmental effectiveness and improvement opportunities, Effectively communicates with team members, suppliers and multiple levels of management,
