Experis in Montvale Parsippany, NJ is seeking a Packaging Engineer Assistant to support omni-channel and eCommerce packaging initiatives. The hybrid role requires three days onsite and two days remote with some travel, focusing on packaging design, testing, validation and Amazon certification.

The candidate will collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing and manufacturing partners, managing multiple packaging projects from concept through launch with travel up to 25% as needed.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering; Mechanical or Chemical Engineering considered.
• 2–5 years of packaging commercialization experience in CPG environments.
• Experience with package development, testing, materials, components, sealing systems, and print technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon SIOC certification, ISTA 6 testing, and PSSN.
• Knowledge of packaging validation, product compatibility testing, and commercialization processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing and assembly operations including filling, capping, sealing, labeling, coding, packing, palletizing, storage and transportation.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, TOPS, and project management systems.
• Strong organizational, presentation, communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to recommend sustainable packaging solutions including PCR content and recyclability.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support omni-channel and eCommerce packaging projects with focus on Amazon-ready packaging.
• Redesign packaging for prep-free, SIOC and SIPP requirements including material selection and cost estimation.
• Manage Amazon SIOC certification activities and ISTA 6 testing and PSSN submissions.
• Collaborate with Packaging, Omni-Channel, Quality, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain, and partners.
• Ensure packaging meets protection, functionality, manufacturability, sustainability, cost and consumer requirements.
• Support artwork development through die line creation and packaging specification management.
• Coordinate and evaluate testing programs including third-party testing.
• Create and maintain specifications, BOMs, pallet patterns, component codes and change requests.
• Support packaging trials, troubleshooting and commercialization at manufacturing sites.
