  • Design and create packaging solutions ensuring customer and regulatory standards.
  • Test and certify packaging designs with relevant authorities.

  • Address packaging challenges with production facilities and suppliers.
  • Seek cost savings, quality improvements, and better sourcing through research.
  • Stay updated on material innovations and provide Logistics training.
  • Research environmental compliance related to packaging components.
  • Monitor industry trends, emergent technologies, and regulatory changes.

What you'll do
  • Design and create packaging solutions for a variety of products, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct necessary testing and obtain certifications from relevant authorities for packaging designs.
  • Establish and uphold packaging standards and protocols for all products and processes at Redwood Materials.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers and internal teams during the development of new packaging.
  • Address and resolve packaging-related challenges by collaborating with production facilities and suppliers.
  • Generate ideas for cost savings, quality improvements, and better sourcing through research into materials and technologies.
  • Keep current with innovations in materials and provide training for the Logistics Department.
  • Assist in researching environmental compliance related to packaging components.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in regulations.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Engineering is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in packaging design within a technology or manufacturing setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of packaging materials, battery technologies, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulations regarding hazardous materials and transport compliance is preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management and working collaboratively across various functions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
