Ascend Staffing is seeking a Packaging & Encapsulation Maintenance Technician in Spanish Fork, UT to keep packaging and encapsulation equipment running, troubleshoot, repair, and support production on a fast-paced team.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and complete timely repairs to minimize downtime, while documenting activities and coordinating with operations for changeovers.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience with packaging equipment, encapsulation equipment, or similar production machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify equipment problems and perform basic repairs and adjustments.
• Ability to follow the 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM shift and accommodate schedule changes as needed.
• Ability to follow safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair packaging and encapsulation equipment to support reliable production.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and complete timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections to keep machinery operating efficiently.
• Make equipment adjustments and assist with setups and changeovers as required by production needs.
• Identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components and determine corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
• Coordinate with production team to identify equipment concerns and resolve operational problems.
• Follow established safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance procedures.

Packaging & Encapsulation Maintenance Technician

Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)

Job Site Location: Spanish Fork, Utah

Work Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM; schedule may change as needed based on production requirements

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

Required:

Previous maintenance experience with packaging equipment, encapsulation equipment, or similar production machinery.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to identify equipment problems and perform basic repairs and adjustments.

Ability to work the scheduled 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM shift and accommodate schedule changes as business needs require.

Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

Previous maintenance experience in nutritional products, food, pharmaceutical, supplement, or related manufacturing.

Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment troubleshooting.

Familiarity with electrical, pneumatic, or mechanical systems used in automated production equipment.

Experience supporting packaging line setups, changeovers, and production equipment adjustments.
