Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Packaging Operations Engineer to lead technical pack design and specification across primary, secondary and tertiary packaging to ensure reliable supply. This role collaborates with sites, CMOs, procurement and PPMs to deliver packaging solutions.

Hybrid work model in the United States with regular on-site presence required. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years in packaging artwork or design in regulated

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, packaging, graphic design or business.
3+ years' experience in packaging artwork, printing or packaging design in a regulated environment.
Experience with pack design across primary, secondary and tertiary packaging and component specs.

Responsibilities

Lead technical pack design and specification for primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
Drive packaging activities for New Product Introductions and major pack changes.
Create and maintain component drawings, specifications and technical docs.
Collaborate with suppliers and procurement on options, cost and sustainability.
Support compliance activities, CAPAs, inspections and risk assessments.
