Menasha Corporation invites applications for the ORBIShield Custom Packaging Design Engineer Co-Op in ORBIS Corporation. The role supports the Custom Design/Engineering Team by creating packaging designs and prototypes based on customer specs.

You will gain hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes, then receive in-depth design training to master SolidWorks and final prints, managing projects from concept through execution.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a technical or bachelor's degree in plastic/packaging engineering.
• Knowledge of plastic processing, mechanical engineering and packaging engineering.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Experience with design software programs (AutoCAD/SolidWorks).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to manufacturing plants.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned design projects from concept through execution.
• Provide design samples to meet customer and sales team needs promptly.
• Create cost-effective, manufacturable designs from concept to production.
• Apply technical knowledge to meet customer specifications and needs.
• Fabricate prototypes to verify design quality before manufacturing.
• Identify and address issues discovered during assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Adhere to safety policies and perform duties accordingly.
