Job summary

Menasha Corporation, Mentor, OH, is seeking an ORBIShield Custom Packaging Design Engineer Co-Op from January 2027 to June 2027 with possible extension into summer. You will assist the Custom Design/Engineering Team in creating packaging designs and prototypes based on customer specifications, while gaining hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes.

By the end of the co-op, you will be proficient in SolidWorks, capable of creating and interpreting final prints, and prepared

Qualifications

Pursuing a technical or bachelor’s degree in plastic/packaging engineering or related field.
Interest in materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage assigned project(s).
Provide design samples to meet customer needs and sales requests.
Create cost-effective, manufacturable designs from concept to production.
Apply technical judgment to ensure designs meet customer requirements.
Fabricate prototypes to verify design before customer approval.
Suggest improvements addressing issues discovered during assembly/manufacturing.
Demonstrate safety adherence and follow company policies.
