Job summary

Crescent is seeking an Estimator to understand customer needs, develop accurate cost solutions, and design efficient site production processes. You will align estimates with customer expectations, support Crescent’s objectives, and help grow our people across the site.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Packaging or Industrial Engineering, strong MS Office skills, and experience in packaging design and cost modeling, with a focus on Lean CI for process improvements at the site level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong capabilities with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communications.
• Strong understanding of packaging design, assembly, and customer specifications.
• Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Research customer requirements, packaging history, and production data to prepare accurate estimates.
• Prepare price models, production line layouts, and cost models for assigned customers.
• Conduct time studies to validate labor assumptions and adjust as needed.
• Review site production history and packaging insights to align estimates with customer needs.
• Develop basic packaging engineering specifications for cost modeling and production use.
• Partner with Cross-Functional Teams to ensure labor estimates align with staffing needs and production schedules.
• Collaborate with site leadership to suggest line improvements that enhance competitiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including training backups for coverage and succession planning.
