Job summary

Perry's Ice Cream is seeking a dedicated Packaging Operator for the 3rd shift (11pm–7:30am), Sunday through Thursday with overtime as needed. You will oversee the flow of finished product through packaging equipment, ensure sanitation, and help maintain per company guidelines.

Candidates should have basic mechanical and math skills, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and be willing to operate shrink wrappers and case packers. We offer competitive hourly pay and strong benefits.

Must maintain packaging center sanitation per guidelines and SQF & GMP requirements.

Shift

3rd Shift / 11pm to 730am / Sunday to Thursday - Additional days or overtime as required to complete the daily demands

About the Role

As a core member of our production team, you will be expected to

Oversee the proper flow of finished product entering & existing the packaging equipment to include case packing, shrink wrappers, and other peripheral packaging processes
Be responsible for maintaining the packaging center Sanitation in accordance with all Company guidelines and state/federal regulations

Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety
Must have basic Mechanical skills.
Must be willing to learn & become well versed in the operation of shrink wrappers, case packers & other peripheral support packaging equipment
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
Must possess basic Math Skills.
Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and then effectively communicate with all levels of co-workers.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Capable of standing for extended periods of time.
Must be able to be proficient at recordkeeping and doing so in a timely manner
Must possess the ability to clean/maintain the packaging center in a sanitary manner as per Company policies/programs
Willing to learn and adhere to Department specific SQF & GMP requirements.
