Job summary

International Vitamin Corporation in Parkins Lake, SC is seeking an entry-level Packaging Operator to perform basic packaging tasks under GMP guidelines. You will inspect, weigh, label, and package finished products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The role supports production lines, assists in training new employees, and helps maintain cleanliness, safety and accurate labeling per work orders. No prior experience required, but familiarity with manufacturing and basic math is helpful.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required or pass IVC reading assessment.
  • 1–6 months manufacturing experience in a regulated environment preferred (cGMP/FDA).
  • Ability to read and comprehend SOPs, Batch Records, and training documents.

Responsibilities

  • Safely assist bottle packaging line equipment including the labeler, bottle hopper, capper, and bundler.
  • Assemble cartons, apply labels to cartons and shippers, and verify accuracy against work orders.
  • Pack finished products while inspecting proper lot numbers, labels, caps, neck bands, and other quality criteria.
  • Perform rework as required and verify that all components are correct.
  • Work efficiently to improve process reliability and minimize line downtime.
  • Cross-train and provide support in other departments to meet business needs.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new employees as needed.
  • Verify all components, labels, and packaging against work orders.
  • Inspect finished goods for proper lot numbers, caps, and neck bands.
  • Perform rework and ensure all corrective actions meet quality standards.
  • Clean tooling, machinery, and conveyors after each run, including hoses, brushes, vibrators, and catch pans.
  • Maintain general housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
  • Report safety concerns, accidents, or injuries to a supervisor.

Under the direct supervision of the Packaging Supervisor or Team Lead, this entry-level positionis responsible forperforming basic packaging operations in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities

Production Operations

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and safe workingenvironment always; promptly report any safety concerns, accidents, or injuries to a supervisor.

  • Understand and adhere to all Company policies, procedures, SOPs, and Safety regulations.

General Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education,Experience, and Licenses

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent OR passingIVCReading Comprehensionassessment
  • 3-6 months manufacturing experience working in a regulated environment (cGMP or FDA) preferred
